All physical items in the Library, regardless of their language, are arranged according to the Library of Congress (LC) Classification Scheme, which groups items by subject.

Each item in the Library is assigned a unique LC call number as an identifier, making it easier to locate on the shelves.

The location of items can be found through Discovery Search.

LC Call number

The item’s location and its LC call number – for example – an item may be found in the “General Collection” with the call number (RT48.6.N36 2021).
