Officially opened in September 2017, the Florence and Lipton Chuang Learning Commons is a vibrant extension of the Library at Saint Francis University (SFU), providing a supportive, student-centered environment which is conducive to knowledge exchange and academic growth.
With a floor area of approximately 16,000 square feet and a seating capacity of around 400, the Learning Commons is equipped with cutting-edge installations such as an advanced E-Learning Laboratory and four AV-enhanced group discussion rooms. Extensive study areas, flexible seating modules as well as large open spaces form an ideal place for effective learning.
Apart from featuring state-of-the-art facilities, the Learning Commons offers a vast array of services which are primarily intended to facilitate self-paced learning and elevate students’ research capabilities. Key activities which have been organized include workshops on referencing rules, citation practices and information search strategies.
