The libraries of the five institutions (OUHK, CIHE, CHCHE, HKSYU and TWC) worked in tandem to upgrade the Aleph integrated library system into a new cloud-based library management system and discovery platform, namely the Alma and Primo VE.

  1. In June 2022, the Alma Library System at CIHE went live, and the loans services were revamped. New loan rules concerning loan quotas, loan periods, and renewal limits were implemented.
  2. In July 2023, the Library launched the ReadingList@Library service through a newly established course reading management platform. This platform was connected with both the library system and Moodle, enabling the Library to manage the course readings more efficiently. It also enabled course instructors to create reading lists and provide students with useful references.
  3. In the summer of 2024, a new Resources Sharing System was implemented at the Saint Francis University (SFU) to enhance its Interlibrary loans (ILL) services. By seamlessly incorporating materials from beyond the SFU library collections into the Primo VE discovery platform, access to physical books and documents delivery services, both locally and internationally, has been substantially enlarged.
