A workshop – Discover Hong Kong’s History with Gale Primary Sources – will be conducted to guide participants on how to effectively search for historical documents with the following e-resources:
- Hong Kong, Britain, and China, Part I: 1841–1951
- Hong Kong, Britain and China, Part II: 1965–1993
- State Papers Online Colonial Asia, Part I: Far East, Hong Kong, and Wei-Hai-Wei
The workshop will cover fascinating topics, including:
- The history of HSBC and Hang Seng Bank
- The rise and closure of Kai Tak Airport (1925–1998)
