E-Resources Discovery Days 2024

Members of SFU and CBCC are most welcome to join our E-Resources Discovery Days to be held on 11-13 November 2024 to explore a vast array of digital resources and to get a chance to win fabulous prizes. Professional trainers from Wolters Kluwer, Clarivate & ProQuest, McGraw Hill, Emerald Publishing, Gale, HyRead, Wanfang, CNKI and CSMAR will set up booths at the Library Learning Commons to

  • explain featured resources and answer your enquiries; and
  • conduct workshops to show you effective ways of locating books, journal articles and news stories for your assignments and research projects.

The Library is pleased to hold a workshop which can effectively help you build specialized resource lists for your teaching courses and efficiently get digital copy of articles with the enhanced Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Services.

Topics include:

  • Introducing ReadingList@Library and integrating a reading list on Moodle for students’ access;
  • Creating your own reading lists and adding references;
  • Communicating with the Library via ReadingList@Library;
  • Introducing the enhanced ILL Services;
  • Making requests for ILL items, which are not held by SFU/CBCC Library, via the Library Discovery Search.

ProQuest One Business contains a vast amount of business information in multiple databases, including ABI/INFORM Collection, Accounting, Tax & Banking Collection, Business Market Research Collection and Entrepreneurship Database, covering over 2,400 journals, thousands of e-books and videos, as well as hundreds of thousands of reports from J. P Morgan, BMI Research, Hoovers and others.

ProQuest One Psychology

ProQuest One Psychology provides diverse resource types including scholarly journals, therapy videos, counselling transcripts, news and dissertations to support research on various topics related to psychology, such as abnormal psychology, addiction, death and dying, school counselling and parenting.

Students and staff are welcome to access this resource via A-Z List of e-Databases.
