Book Exhibition In Celebration of the Lunar New Year 2025
To celebrate the coming Lunar New Year festival, the Library is currently holding a book exhibition which has a primary focus on the cultural traditions and customs related to this special occasion. The books on display feature New Year stories, auspicious symbols and patterns, zodiac predictions, celebratory cuisines as well as the art of paper-cutting. Our main purpose is to spread and share the joy of the Chinese New Year with everyone!

Eligible Participants
- This survey is open to all current SFU/CBCC/CAPS students and staff;
- External members including Alumni with valid Library cards are also welcome to participate except the Corporate members with Readers’ cards;
- This is an anonymous survey. No personal information will be collected;
- If you are interested in entering the Lucky Draw, please provide your contact information (i.e. Student/Staff ID, name, email address and phone number) at the end of the survey. This information will only be used for purposes related to the Lucky Draw;
- The results of the Lucky Draw will not be affected by your answers and written comments.
E-Resources Discovery Days (11-13 November 2024)
Members of SFU and CBCC are most welcome to join our E-Resources Discovery Days to be held on 11-13 November 2024 to explore a vast array of digital resources and to get a chance to win fabulous prizes. Professional trainers from Wolters Kluwer, Clarivate & ProQuest, McGraw Hill, Emerald Publishing, Gale, HyRead, Wanfang, CNKI and CSMAR will set up booths at the Library Learning Commons to
- explain featured resources and answer your enquiries; and
- conduct workshops to show you effective ways of locating books, journal articles and news stories for your assignments and research projects.

ReadingList & ILL Workshop
The Library is pleased to hold a workshop which can effectively help you build specialized resource lists for your teaching courses and efficiently get digital copy of articles with the enhanced Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Services.
Topics include:
- Introducing ReadingList@Library and integrating a reading list on Moodle for students’ access;
- Creating your own reading lists and adding references;
- Communicating with the Library via ReadingList@Library;
- Introducing the enhanced ILL Services;
- Making requests for ILL items, which are not held by SFU/CBCC Library, via the Library Discovery Search.
