New e-resources available – CINAHL Ultimate and SPORTDiscus with Full Text

The Library is pleased to offer the following newly subscribed e-databases:

CINAHL Ultimate

CINAHL Ultimate provides full-text access to most nursing and allied health journals, covering more than 50 nursing specialties. It also offers supplementary information such as quick lessons and evidence-based care sheets.

SPORTDiscus with Full Text

SPORTDiscus with Full Text is a comprehensive source for sports research, covering hundreds of full-text journals in physical fitness, health education, sports medicine, kinesiology and more.

The workshop aims to help instructors quickly build specialized resource lists for their teaching courses. Topics will cover:

  • Introducing ReadingList@Library;
  • Integrating a reading list on Moodle for students’ access;
  • Creating your own reading list and adding references;
  • Communicating with the Library via ReadingList@Library

New e-resource available - British Nursing Database

The Library is pleased to offer a newly subscribed e-resource – British Nursing Database.

The British Nursing Database is a full-text resource supporting the practice, education, and research for nurses, midwives and healthcare professionals in the UK and the greater nursing community. It also provides abstracting and indexing for hundreds of titles dating back to 1993.

New physiotherapy e-resources available

The Library is pleased to offer the following newly subscribed e-databases:

  • ClinicalKey Student

    ClinicalKey Student (Physiotherapy Package) is an interactive education platform that supports teaching and learning with a wide range of physiotherapy content, including over 65 physiotherapy textbooks, more than 14,000 high resolution images and over 435 videos.

  • Complete Anatomy

    Complete Anatomy is an interactive anatomy learning platform that includes human 3D model with over 17,000 structures and over 1,500 clinical videos.

The Library is pleased to offer a newly subscribed e-resource – JoVE Education.

JoVE Education is a comprehensive video collection covering various modules in science, which include physical examinations and clinical skills, chemistry, biology, physics, engineering, environmental sciences and psychology.

To support research activities of the CIHE community, the online talk From Research to Publication and Citations: Unlocking the Best Practices for Research Excellence will share all the essential information about scholarly research and publishing.
