Hands-on Workshop on Complete Anatomy & ClinicalKey Student (Physiotherapy Package) for Lecturers

To enable teaching and research staff to better understand different features and functions of specific e-databases and mobile apps in Health Sciences, the Library has invited a professional trainer to conduct a hands-on training workshop on Complete Anatomy (mobile app) and ClinicalKey Student (Physiotherapy Package) exclusively for staff from the School of Health Sciences.

Different from the Part I workshop held in October 2024, this Part II workshop will solely focus on helping lecturers to make full use of the content, images and videos of the two resources to make course preparation and teaching materials.

The workshop will cover the following content:

  • Introduction to key features and functions of Complete Anatomy and ClinicalKey Student (Physiotherapy Package)
  • Live demonstration to discover related content, images and videos to support teaching and research

The Library User Survey 2024 was conducted from 4 November to 13 December 2024 to collect comments and suggestions on our services, resources and facilities. Over 1,300 completed questionnaires including useful feedback were received.

To express our appreciation to the respondents, valuable gifts generously donated by publishers and vendors were given out to the lucky draw winners. The prize presentation ceremony was successfully held on 25 February 2025 at the Learning Commons.

To support scholarly research in world history and contemporary international relations, the Library has added the following new e-databases to its collection:

Primarily digitized from the records of British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, this collection documents the process of Hong Kong maneuvering, surviving, thriving, and transforming into a modern international metropolis and financial centre in the wider context of the Cold War.

State Papers Online Colonial Asia, Part I: Far East, Hong Kong, and Wei-Hai-Wei

This collection records Britain’s administration and governance of its former colonies, their international relations across the period, and the changing demographics and daily life of their inhabitants.

Workshop on New User Interface of “ReadingList@Library” Service

A new user interface (UI) – ReadingList@Library” has just been launched. It features a fresh design as well as powerful search capabilities, filtering options and an intuitive layout.

To familiarize the teaching staff with the re-designed user interface and to help them build specialized resource lists for their courses, the Library will organize a 1-hour training workshop titled “New User Interface of the ReadingList@Library Service”. The following topics will be addressed:

  • How to navigate the new Reading List?
  • How to access and utilize the List?
  • What are the advanced search and resources management features?

Library Workshop on Searching Articles @ New EBSCOhost Interface

The Library will organize an online workshop titled Searching Articles @ New EBSCOhost Interface to introduce the brand-new user interface and features including Generative AI Insights for all library subscribed EBSCOhost databases, which include Academic Search Ultimate, Business Source Premier, CINAHL Ultimate, Education Source, Sociology Source Ultimate, and more.

A professional trainer from EBSCO will be invited to conduct the online session.

Access Advanced Practice Nursing

AccessAPN provides a wide variety of nursing resources, including a plethora of authoritative titles, cases, Q & A and video content spanning from evidence-based practice and clinical information to personal development and leadership topics.

AccessMedicine
