To understand how Web of Science and its AI features can support research work, an online training workshop titled From Research Question to Publication Strategy: Discover, Explore and Analyse with Web of Science (WoS) & Journal Citaiton Reports (JCR) will be offered. The workshop will introduce practical skills to search literature efficiently and to leverage Research Assistant AI to enhance research workflow.

A professional trainer will:

  • Introduce WoS and its search features for literature discovery
  • Show how to use WoS Research Assistant AI to explore research topics
  • Highlight Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and Journal Impact Factor (JIF) to check updated journal rankings for publishing academic works
  • Perform live demonstration in real research scenarios

New e-Resources Available (Scopus & SciVal)

To support teaching and research, the Library has added the following new e-databases to its collection:

Title Coverage
Scopus Scopus is a comprehensive abstract and citation database containing over 100 million records across a wide range of disciplines, including Health Sciences, Life Sciences, and Social Sciences. Its AI-powered search feature, Scopus AI, provides concise and reliable summaries of research topics for easy reference.
SciVal SciVal is an advanced research analysis tool that utilizes data in Scopus to evaluate research performance, identify potential collaborative partnerships and analyze emerging research trends.
