Established in 2009, the Library of Saint Francis University (SFU) was later given the name of “Library in Memory of Mr. Lam Sing Kam” in appreciation of a generous benefaction made by the wife of the late Mr. Lam in support of its development. Spanning over 16,000 square feet, the Library is located on the 4th floor of campus building.

The SFU Library serves as a vital hub for academic sources, providing essential and comprehensive support for the teaching, learning and research activities of the University. Its vast collections cover a wide range of disciplines, including Accounting, Business and Hospitality Management, Marketing, Computer Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Design, Nursing, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Music, Early Childhood Education, Language and Literature, and General Education. Materials are available in a variety of formats, including print books, e-books, print journals, e-journals, CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs.

As of now, the Library houses 86,166 print books, 41,107 print journal issues and around 111,000 multimedia pieces. In addition, fast and easy access is provided to 2,383,728 e-books, 125,000 e-journals, 4,000,000 full-text dissertations and theses as well as 295 e-databases. In total there are approximately 6.7 million items of physical and online resources.

With around 660 seating spaces in the formal and informal study zones, the Library offers a warm and welcoming environment for reading and studying. The discussion rooms and study pods are ideal locations for collaborative learning and group study. Equipped with advanced networked computers, Octopus-operated multifunction photocopiers and printers as well as over 100 terminal workstations and portable devices, the Library can provide a variety of tools to meet the diverse needs of users.
