The Library is pleased to offer the following newly subscribed e-databases:

JSTOR
JSTOR is a digital archive collection of scholarly journals and primary sources in humanities, business and social sciences. At present, it contains the full-text of more than 2,600 journals from 1,200 publishers, covering publications published from 1665 to 2015.

* The Library is currently subscribing to the JSTOR Art & Sciences XII Collection, while also enjoying free access to all other JSTOR Archive Collections through 30 June 2022.

Active Reading (Clarity English)
Active Reading is an interactive learning tool for developing reading skills, including prediction, vocabulary strategies, inference, skimming, topic sentences and more. It comes in six levels from elementary to advanced, with 10 units in each level. Each unit consists of a video introduction, controlled practice, comprehension exercises and concludes with a freer activity which expands on the topic.

Clear Pronunciation 1 (Sounds) (Clarity English)
Clear Pronunciation 1 (Sounds) helps learners recognize and pronounce the 43 English phonemes: vowels, consonants and diphthongs. It includes audio, video clips together with interactive activities which provide a consistent model for learners to drill and practice pronunciation in a real-world context.

Clear Pronunciation 2 (Speech) (Clarity English)
Clear Pronunciation 2 (Speech) helps learners put together the 43 sounds of English in a natural speech. It provides a wide range of accent and pronunciation models to helps learners recognize and accurately produce word stress, sentence stress, connected speech and intonation.

Visible Body Physiology & Pathology
Visible Body Physiology & Pathology is a 3D anatomy learning tool that enables students, clinicians and researchers to explore how the core processes of the human body work. It covers nearly 6,000 3D anatomy models, 50 physiology topics and over 50 conditions in cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, gastrointestinal, and musculoskeletal systems. Additionally, it provides a 3D dissectible beating heart simulation module and 30 quizzes test knowledge of physiological processes and pathologies.
