New Library System and Revamped Loans Services
We are pleased to inform you that a new Library System will be launched on 29 June 2022 (Wednesday) and that the loans services will be fine-tuned.
About “My Library Record”
Some personal loan information is not retrievable when the new system comes into operation. Such information includes:
- your loan history displayed in “My Library Record”;
- your search records saved in “My Favorites” on the Discovery Search Platform; and
- your “hold requests”.
[You are reminded to save and print such records before 26 June 2022 (Sunday) if you need them for future reference and to make hold requests via the new Library System when it is in place.]
Suspension of Online Loans Services
The online renewal and reservation services will be suspended on 27 and 28 June 2022 (Monday and Tuesday). Please approach the Circulation Counter for such services on these two days.
New Loan Rules
New loan rules in connection with the loan quota, loan period and renewal limits will be enforced. You may check the specific details HERE.
The library system upgrade may cause some inconvenience to you at the initial stage, but we will try to minimize the disruptions. Your patience and understanding in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Should you have any queries or need any assistance, please feel free to contact us at 3653-6620 or library@cihe.edu.hk
We hope that the implementation of a more advanced library system will enable us to enhance our services and provide better support for your teaching, learning and research activities in the years to come.
