Officially opened in September 2017, the Florence and Lipton Chuang Learning Commons is an extension of the Library at the Saint Francis University (SFU) campus. It provides a supportive, student-centered learning environment for knowledge sharing and development.
This extension has an area of about 16,000 sq. ft. and a seating capacity of around 400, featuring an advanced e-learning laboratory, four group discussion rooms equipped with audio-visual tools, quiet study areas, flexible seating combinations and large open spaces for leisure reading and self-study purposes. Wireless (WiFi) network connectivity as well as colour and black/white printing and copying services are available.
Apart from facilities and equipment, a broad range of services and activities are provided to support self-paced learning and enhance students’ research experience, such as reference enquiry services and workshops on citation management and information search.
